Never say never. In January 2023, Maximilian Levy rode his last lap – at the Six Days race in Berlin. But at the SIXDAYS Weekend on January 30 and 31, 2026, the Berlin native will celebrate his comeback on the sprint track. Levy was world champion four times, European champion seven times, and won three Olympic medals in a total of four appearances. “I’m fit, already in the middle of training, and can assure you that I’ll be a force to be reckoned with,” says the 38-year-old, who is currently also the junior coach for the German Cycling Federation.

“The 113th Berlin Six Day Race already promises plenty of excitement, but no one expected Max Levy to get back on his bike. We are extremely pleased that we will be able to see him – a Six Days legend – on the Velodrom track again. No one should miss this unique event,” says Valts Miltovičs, Managing Director of Madison Sports GmbH. The SIXDAYS Weekend on January 30 and 31 starts at 6:00 p.m. on both days and continues until midnight. Ticket sales have already begun.

What began as a crazy idea between two cyclists is now becoming reality, explains Maximilian Levy: “In recent years, I have been training for Ironman and competing in competitions, among other things, so I have never completely stopped being an active athlete. That makes it easier for me now to start training again for the sprint races on the track at the Sixdays Weekend. Anyone who knows me knows that I’m far too ambitious to just ride along. When I’m in it, I want to be right up there at the front.” Levy has won the Berlin Six Days race nine times and is very familiar with the oval of the Berlin Velodrome.
