Berlin/Kuala Lumpur, 2026-02-26

Madison Sports, the global rights holder of Sixdays Cycling, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Sportswork Group Sdn Bhd, a premier sports agency in South-East Asia, to bring the world-renowned track cycling series to the region.

The agreement marks a significant first step toward hosting and establishing a long-term presence of Sixdays Cycling events in South-East Asia, with Malaysia positioned as the inaugural regional hub.

Track cycling is an Olympic discipline with deep roots across the region. Malaysia, in particular, is a global powerhouse in the sport, boasting world-class infrastructure such as the National Velodrome in Nilai and producing elite athletes including two-time Olympic medalist Azizulhasni AwangMohd Shah Firdaus Sahrom, and rising star Nurul Izzah Izzati Asri. The partnership aims to build on this heritage while introducing a modern, high-energy format to the Malaysian public.

Sixdays Cycling is the longest-running track cycling concept in the world, combining elite professional racing with a festival-like atmosphere. Through this collaboration, Malaysia is set to join an elite circuit of international host locations, including BerlinHong Kong, and the upcoming project in Abu Dhabi, which will feature the most modern velodrome in the world.

In a landmark moment for local fans, the global expansion begins on the screen: for the first time in years, Malaysian cycling enthusiasts were be able to watch the iconic Sixdays Weekend in Berlin live. The event was broadcast on Astro Malaysia from January 30–31, offering a front-row seat to the unique atmosphere and high-speed action that the partnership intends to bring to South-East Asian soil.

The collaboration between Madison Sports and Sportswork Group is built around a shared vision: to grow track cycling worldwide and bring the sport firmly into the modern media ecosystem. By combining Sixdays’ proven event and broadcast model with Sportswork Group’s deep regional expertise, the partnership aims to create a distinctive, premium cycling experience for fans in South-East Asia and beyond.
